Liatris spicata, also called Blazing Star. zones 3-8. Native to the eastern US, Blazing Star is a summer blooming perennial known for its bright and showy pink/red flowers have a bottle-brush form. Grows 2-4′ high, does well in fun sun or partial shade. It makes a great cut flower and is deer resistant. Mine do well in full sun. Sold as corms (underground swollen plant stems) about the size of a large acorn. Not available for shipping until mid-March.
