Forsythia is a fast growing shrub that can adapt to a variety of soil conditions but prefers moist, well-drained soils. While it does best in full sun it will grow even in the shade of a deep woodland. One of the first to bloom in spring, this shrub produces an explosion of small golden flowers that fade through the season to deep green foliage. Rising to heights of 8’ or more forsythia makes a wonderful privacy hedge and is tolerant of shaping. You can even trim a few branches and bring them inside for late winter blooms.

Sold as a bare root plant, 18-24" + roots.
