Cardinal Flower. Lobelia cardinalis. Zones 3-9, rooted plantlet. Cardinal Flower typically grows in moist locations. Growing 2-3' high, it features erect terminal spikes with large, bright red flowers that draw hummingbirds and butterflies. Blooms late summer to early fall--about 6 weeks. Native to the eastern US. Grow in shade to partial sun. Herbaceous perennial.
