Blue Cardinal Flower. Lobelia cardinalis. Zones 4-9, rooted plantlet. Also known as Great Lobelia, grows best in medium to wet soils, and needs constant moisture. It grows 1-3' tall and produces violet-blue flowers during late summer or fall. Native to the eastern US. Grow in full sun to part shade. Herbaceous perennial.
