Viburnum, Nannyberry. Viburnum lentago. Open to see discounts.
The Nannyberry is a large shrub native to much of the Midwest and Eastern United States that produces flat-topped clusters of lacey white flowers. After the flowers have receded in autumn the leaves give a variety of fall colors and the shrub produces clusters of edible blue-black drupes which are often present into winter and attract wildlife late into the season. The Nannyberry can grow 14-16’ high and makes a wonderful privacy hedge. Its tendency to produce root suckers makes it a wonderful choice for naturalization and as a background for other native plants.
