Hydrangea paniculata ‘Silver Dollar.’ USDA zones 3-8. This sun-loving Hydrangea stays smaller than most, growing 5-6' high and wide. It gets filled with dense, rounded heads of white flowers, which then become pink-flushed later in the season. Like most paniculatas, the cut flowers dry easily and last a long time after the growing season. Does well in full sun to partial shade. These are bare root, dormant plants, 6"-12" + roots.
These can easily be sent to you and economically established in your yard or garden. Rooted cuttings are started from a parent plant and have all the same qualities as the parent. They can either be planted in pots, or directly in the ground. You can even bury a bundle of them in a pile of mulch for a week, a month, over over winter, covering all roots but leaving the foliage above the surface of the mulch. Then remove them from the mulch when you are ready to plant them. They can take some frost and freezing weather as long as the roots are under the surface of the soil or mulch.
