Dogwood, Kousa. Cornus kousa (species). USDA z5-8. Kousa Dogwood is a native of China, and similar to, but different than other dogwood species. Kousa is later blooming and has larger white flowers. It has better disease resistance and is more cold hardy than white flowering dogwood (Cornus florida). It grows 20-25' tall, forms small fruits. Good wildlife plant. Sold as a bare root plant, 18-24" plus roots.
