Partridgeberry. Mitchella repens. USDA zones 3-8. Named for the bird that feasts upon its berries, Partridgeberry is a low growing evergreen plant which produces white flowers and red berries. It prefers partial shade and makes a nice groundcover. The shiny green leaves stand out on the ground.
