American, or wild plum, native to the US, is a small, deciduous, single trunk tree or multi-stemmed shrub. Pruned to a single stemmed tree, it grows to 15-25' tall with a broad, spreading crown. As a shrub, it suckers freely and can form large colonies.
This plant is the native plum, not a large eating plum, but makes great jams, jellies, and baked goods. Fruits best with 2 or more plants in the area.
Dormant, bare root plant, 18-24" tall + roots.
