Sycamore trees are special for their unique, patchy bark (white, gray, brown) that peels to reveal smooth inner bark, their huge size (often the largest deciduous trees in North America), large maple-like leaves, and distinctive ball-shaped fruit (buttonballs).

They are fast-growing, long-lived, tolerant of pollution, and provide excellent shade and wildlife habitat. They prefer full sun but can handle partial shade. Very tolerant of wet soil. They have a history of use for timber, buttons, and even space travel (Moon Trees).  

Sold as a bare root plant, 18-24" plus roots.
